Camp 3 reached by K2 climbers

The climbers from the K2 North Ridge Expedition have reached camp 3 after a tiring day. There was a strong wind blowing for the whole day. Eventually they reached camp 3 at 6pm. There was a lot of snow on the ridges in places.

Tomorrow they will head to camp 4 at about 7950m and will be hoping the winds decrease in speed as they get higher as the weather forecasts have predicted.

Thanks for that. The weather is so good according to what they are saying and the forecasts. It reminds me of what Ed Viesturs once said about K2 that you have to be patient and it will give you a chance.

Good climb and luck for the next 1,2 days (and for the way down as well!). It really looks like the patience paid off.
