North Ridge Expedition may go for K2 summit tomorrow

The North Ridge Expedition are weighing up whether to make a push for the summit of K2 on the 8th August. Today they were delayed setting up camp 4 at 8000m because of the weather. But they intended to fix the4 camp later in the day. They only had about 200m to the camp to go.

Tomorrow they have heard that there will be good weather. Once in camp 4 they will decide whether they will make an assault of the summit of K2 which is at a height of 8611m.

The International expedition consists of: Gerlinde Kaltenbrunner, Ralf Dujmovits, Maxut Zumayev, Vassiliy Pivtsov, Tommy Heinrich and Darius Zaluski.
