GPS shows Txikon at about 7700m on K2

The Racetrack website shows that Alex Txikon is at about 7700m on K2 on the Cesen route. This is a little lower than what he and others apparantly around this height would have been hoping for. It is a little low to make a summit assault of K2 if that is where he ends up camping.

It looks like Saturday will be the day for a summit attempt. He may setup camp higher tomorrow and help fix the route to the summit.

Txikon will be aiming to have climber 3 8000m mountain if he succeeds in making the summit of K2.

Below is a screenshot of the GPS data and the terrain. The climb today was from camp 3 shown on the map.
