North Ridge expedition make progress

The K2 North Ridge expedition have today been getting closer to where they were last week. Maxut Zumayev has been using a GPS to track his movements so it is possible to see where he has been. It is not a live update but it can show where he has been at a particular time.

The GPS is showing that he was at 5900m at 1:07pm today. The furthest that they had gone last week was about 6150m.

The link below is the GPS track in Google Maps . Open the link in Chrome or else it will suggest that you use that.

This is a screenshot of where he is on K2. The furthest they got last time was about 6150m and this was the top of the mixed terrain. Expect them to be on snow immediately after this.
