The North Ridge expedition has made good progress again today. Maxut Zumayev said on his website that they advanced 600m up the north ridge of K2. The day before they had gone up from the first camp at the base of the ridge 500m.

At the moment Vassiliy Pivtsov has been leading the way up the ridge. They would have ben putting down ropes all the way. They are expected to setup a camp at 6300m and then return to base camp.

The next couple of days, Maxut says, should be good for climbing. Then there will be a period of rain, snow and increasing winds.
